The Children groups

If it were not the youth, our faces wouldn’t be smiling. We would have been sad because one day all would be forgotten. We would count the days sadly because no one would remember us, our people and our spiritual tradition.

Fortunately, there are always those who make us exist forever, and we walk proudly because in their eyes our spirit burns, and slowly but surely and without any doubt, we are passing over that spirit to our youth.

Letting them lead us, safely, proudly and with dignity towards the future, never forgetting what we and those before us have created and have left. To keep our true and precious values forever, never forgotten.

Within CAA "Drimkol" - Vevcani, for some time now, there are three children folklore groups existing, numbering one hundred children, all divided according to their age.

The choreographies which are created with children are tailored to their age and capabilities, and despite setting the choreography, effort is placed on building technique and style that characterize the association, with maximal commitment to their education and upbringing in the spirit of the cultural values of the place where they live and the whole country. Respecting the cultural tradition of their own country, children build relationship and respect for other cultures, traditions and values.

From an early age, they are taught how to dress the national costume, how to relate with it, we would say they build a cult for the costume, jewelry, paraphernalia, make-up, hairstyle and to all elements that are part of the process of fostering and presenting our folk wealth. On folklore classes children must wear dancing gear which they dress before their rehearsal and in order to gain discipline and commitment to what it means tradition, culture and art.

In the annual concerts traditionally held in the village, children groups always manage to strongly exalt and elate the audience, and with their brilliant stage performance, they have achieved great success and they have been rewarded on numerous domestic and foreign festivals.
