Precisely such, balanced and serious orchestra, works within the framework of CAA "Drimkol" Vevcani. An orchestra which has integrated the native and traditional with the contemporary. Such a combination allows the folklore ensemble to successfully transfer on the stage not only the original, local, but also the stylized choreography.
Each of us possess the desire, but the talent is a special gift from God, without a talent a folklore association could not be imagined. We are proud of this gift and because of that, even more grateful to the creator of the world, thus, working to reward our audience as much as we can, with our native and original art and folklore, that which represents our people. The first organized folklore groups in Vevcani had always been accompanied by music, sometimes by twos, later by fours, sometimes with bagpipes, sometimes with zurlas, all the way until the formation of the present orchestra, which always sounds delightfully to the soul of those who love Vevcani and Macedonia.
The orchestra of CAA. "Drimkol" was formed in 1973 with the establishment of the folklore ensemble. At the outset, it consisted of three orchestra members performing music solely on original instruments: trumpets, drums and bagpipes. They were the same musicians who played during the St. Vasilj and who performed native Vevcani dances.
The way the Association has been developing and growing, so has the orchestra, developing and incising the interest in our folklore in the youth, thereby, increasing young members and quality simultaneously.
Major role in the development of the orchestra has the support of the population, which, through voluntary financial assistance from every household in Vevcani provided the instruments for the orchestra such as: accordion, guitar, clarinet, and the sound system.
Precisely, from that moment on, the orchestra began a serious and organized activities working on learning music choreographies for the needs of the folklore ensemble, and also to play music and independently participate in various events of private but also social character.
Today, CAA "Drimkol" has a serious folk orchestra of ten members, playing different instruments and follow all the ensembles in the Association on their regular tours in Macedonia, and often take special part in many events and festivals in the country and abroad.
The orchestra of CAA “Drimkol” despite working with the folk ensembles takes part in the theatrical performances of the traveling theater which gives great contribution to the authenticity of the performances. They follow the singing group “Kadanka” and also, independently participate in various manifestations either of social character or of private nature.
From this orchestra have emerged significant musicians of the Vevchni, as well as of the Macedonian music scene to whom music is already their life profession.
